Limbo - Artist’s Book

“Limbo” is an accordion style artist book I created for a poem I wrote of the same name. In it I am reflecting on the changing landscape in the backyard of the house I grew up in. Over the years the invasive emerald ash borer has killed all of the ash trees that lived there. Now empty patches of sky replace the lush greenery that canopied the environment I spent so much time in as a kid. In the book I illustrate the uncanny feeling of returning home for a visit and realizing everything has continued to change in my absence.
