Nonna and Poppy’s House

35mm film photography series documenting the distinct visual vocabulary of my grandparents house in New Canaan, Connecticut. My grandpa built the house my mom grew up in when they immigrated from a tiny town in Abruzzo, Italy called Fara Filiorum Petri. My grandparents have maintained a way of life that reflects many of the farming, hunting, and cooking traditions from their childhood despite now living in the suburbs.
